Every now and then the DSLR market goes wild when they can score a $500 dollar Rokinon 35mm F/1.4 lens for $350 dollars on a Daily Deal. I've seen these things sell out in literally minutes for that price. Well, If you didn't know this already, these lenses can be found under different names such as Rokinon, Samyang, and Bower.
So, If you've been specifically only searching for 'Samyang' or 'Rokinon', you'll find this popular 35mm F/1.4 running for around $450-$500 dollars (as seen here), but right now the 'Bower' name brand, available in Canon, Nikon, Sony/Minolta, and Olympus Four Thirds mount, is offering this same lens on sale (sale ends in a week or while supplies last) for just $379 (found here).
Bower 35mm F/1.4 Prime Lens
[Note:] Actually Bower even has Cine Style lenses available (like Rokinon) and is offering discounts on a variety of lenses which you can find more of following the link (Click Here)

Rokinon has updated their popular 8mm Fisheye lens to include better optics and now a removable lens hood. I recall some people needed to shave down the old version depending on the camera they were trying to fit it with. This will give you 180 degree viewing angle on APS-C sensor sized cameras. Although it can be mounted on Full Frame cameras like the 5D the image will not fill the entire frame. You can already find the Rokinon 8mm F/3.5 Fisheye lens available via B&H (click here) and also via eBay (Click Here)
Just talking about Canon's latest Compact Prime Cine Lenses, it's not for everyone. Fortunately Rokinon is well aware of the DSLR Video scene and is adding another Cine lens to it's product line and i'm feeling the new Rokinon 35mm T/1.5 Cine lens is going to be a winner. The available Rokinon 8mm T/3.8 Cine Lens didn't really take off since it was more of a specialty type wide angle fisheye look.
The new 35mm Cine Lens will have a lens gear built around the housing, and de-clicked manual aperture ring to adjust exposure on the fly. First lenses will come in Canon, Nikon, and Sony mounts, but as one wise commenter mentioned you could just go for the Nikon version (since it's a manual lens) and find simple adapter to fit just about everything else.
[Update] Rokinon will also be announcing a new 14mm T/3.1 & 24mm T/1.5 Cine Lens. At this time, only the 8mm T/3.5 Fisheye is already available, and 35mm T/3.1 has been just been released for pre-order, but you'll be able to check out the entire Rokinon Cine Lens collection over at B&H (Click Here).

I got up a bit late today and missed out on the Rokinon 85mm Lighting Deal, but not all is lost. Coming up in a few hours is another Lighting Deal for the Rokinon 14mm available in a variety of mounts including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, and Pentax.
People have been pretty hip to these deals as of late, and the last Rokinon 35mm F/1.4 lens deal sold out in one minute. If you're interested in a wide angle fast aperture lens, be swift and check out the deal that will hit later today via Amazon (Click Here).
Rokinon 14mm F/2.8 Manual Lens Amazon Lightning Deal
Who doesn't love the Samyang (or a.k.a Rokinon) 35mm F/1.4 prime? It's a decently sharp lens with fast aperture for a not so bad price. I couldn't pass up a recent deal and was able to grab (2) of them for just $375 the other day.
The 35mm focal length is nice for Full Frame cameras like the Canon 5D Mark II. There's been talks about Samyang releasing a 24mm F/1.4 lens for quite some time, which is a better focal length on cameras that have a cropped sensor like a GH2, Sony NEX, or even Canon 7D, 60D, T3i, etc. The good news is this 24mm F/1.4 prime lens is available now, but the bad news is they are dropping this bad boy for a starting price of over $800. Before you start flipping out, in contrast the Canon EF Auto Focus 24mm F/1.4L will run you about $1600 retail.
Check out the new listings (here).

Another thumbs up review about the Rokinon 85mm F/1.4 Lens. I wrote an older article about these lenses found here: https://cheesycam.com/budget-manual-focus-85mm-f1-4-lens/. As you know Canon has an affordable F/1.8 lens, but according to Vimeo member Jared, the Rokinon would be a better choice for those who shoot only video. These lenses come rebranded between Rokinon, Bower, Samyang, Vivitar, and a few others. You might want to check pricing on each one as they will vary on the brand name. Some cheaper than others, but pretty much the same lens. Everything else you need to know is in the video above. [Thanks Jarrod]
