well, as phillip bloom has shown, you can hold a phantom 2 as a gimbal, so i know that would work!

@DefaultIT: hmm that is an interesting idea. given the size the mavic it might be feasible as a weird looking gimbal 🙂

VanWeddings; there was some discussion on RCGroups about the relative size of the GoPro Grip setup and a folded Mavic (which has been indicated will operate while folded). Certainly not as rugged or flexible, but at least you wouldn't be left high and dry if you needed a gimbal in a pinch.

tough decision between this and the karma. love the smaller size and better sensors. on the other hand the karma comes with a detachable camera and useful handle which would be perfect for personal use. really hard to decide!
