Here's a riddle. What has a crap load of skater wheels, some fancy red bearings, and an HD Camera? Well it's me of course! Just showing off some gear to start up a Roller Derby team this summer. JK! (hope nobody took that seriously).

Just wanted to show off some of the items that will be finishing off the first round of Spider Trax Dollies found at https://spidertraxdolly.com. If you don't know what i'm talking about, check out the website. Pre-orders will start sometime next week and there will be a limited run on the first batch so start saving your pennies and stay tuned with the website when the Pre-orders will be announced. https://spidertraxdolly.com.

Someone asked me about centering the balance of the camera to one of my latest DIY DSLR Cage / Fig rig / Stabilizers. Originally I designed it to center for the upper handle for those low flying shots, but if anyone cares about adjusting the camera on the rig, with back and forth adjustments, here's a simple solution using my Macro Rail slider for Macro photography. You can find a bunch of these rails by clicking here.

Gorilla pods are everywhere, and there's a ton of Knock-Off products too. Recently they released a Magnetic feet version of their flexible armed tripods, but I wasn't immediately impressed. After checking out some of the things people are using them with, i've taken a different stance. These things are 'Strong'! The heaviest thing i've seen is a Canon 5D Mark II + 70-200mm Lens hanging upside down from a table. This would be especially perfect to throw my GoPro HD around just about anything by using it's flexible arms around trees, or magnetic feet around rails and cars. Looks like something handy to carry for a variety of uses. Grab them for as low as $24.95 /each.

The design itself isn't totally new. There's been similar designs out there for years, but this shoulder rig does come with a special offset type mount for DSLRs. It also has adjustable mounts to align to different body types. Unlike the cheaper models, this shoulder pad area comes with different slots somewhat 'cheesy plate' style for you to mount several different type of accessories. Not a bad price either, and I'm fond of the black and red (Canon color Scheme). Check out the prices for HabbyCam SD Shoulder Mount rig for DSLR's here.

It's a long video, I admit I got a bit bored listening to this, but the contest sounds interesting enough. FStoppers.com, a young website blog, will be giving away a Canon 7D or Nikon D300 to someone that can provide the best behind the scenes video. There's a few additional 'rules' and what sounds like some additional marketing for the FStoppers website, but all in all it sounds like a fun project to take on. I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn photography or videography to join as many of these projects as possible. It will put you in a different working environment, learning how to team up, and increase your skill levels. You can find more information here: https://fstoppers.com/contest

You can find more about these lights i've been blogging about in this article http://cheesycam.com/?p=561

I was playing backup camera guy for a friends recent shoot. Packed up the rest of the gear and with 550D / T2i in hand + cheap eBay 126 LED light on HotShoe, I just thought i'd grab a clip of how powerful these video lights are. This is a super raw unedited clip that I didn't even take time to focus properly, but hopefully it provides a helpful insight on this item. So if it weren't for the gear, this post wouldn't make much sense on this web blog. This is the first day using the Cricut Cake cutter. Wifey received it a while back, but never had the chance to break it out. The Cricut Cake Cutter is a cool little machine that can cut Fondant and Gum Paste to decorate cakes and goodies. She thinks she's the new 'Cake Boss'. JK!

Wifey volunteers to make a few cupcakes and decorate a cake sheet for a friends Baby Shower, so I sit back and capture all the action testing out the 550D /T2i with a combination of lenses all handheld. Hey this Cricut Cake Cutter is pretty cool, and she's starting a blog about it @ https://cricutcakecutter.com.

I've gotten alot of questions about these Canon Coffee mugs that were first released for promotional items during the Winter Olympics in Canada (hence the french on the box). Through my long long long research i've found that there is only 1 manufacturer in China who produces these 1:1 replica Coffee Mugs of a 70-200mm F/4 IS lens. Since this company is in contract with Canon to only sell through Licensed Canon Sales Channels, it's not likely you'll be getting them by bulk into the US. Yeah tough, because I wanted to grab a wholesale bunch of these things for the Cheesycam audience.

Fortunately there are some grey - black market mugs for sale via eBay and other websites. I've been following many blogs about other guys who have already received their limited edition mugs, so it's obviously shipping from the source somehow. Doing some research on eBay for sellers + feedback + member since + etc. etc., I decided to take the plunge and order one of these items. I'm not suggesting that everyone go out and grab one right now, but i'll let you know if I get scammed. Fortunately I'm pretty good at sniffing a legit sale or not on eBay and payment is via Paypal. I'm taking one for the team on this, so that the rest of you who might want to follow up on a purchase can feel a bit safer knowing the item was actually received or not. Besides, Paypal has always had my back on any type of dispute.

If you're part of the daring group of hard core Canon fanatics who feel this is a much needed collector piece, you can find them on sale by clicking here, or any of the images above.
