Canon announced a new smaller Full Frame camera today. It's body style, controls, and buttons are very similar to a Canon 60D (minus articulating screen). Some features are a 20.2MP sensor, Digic 5+ processor, with built in GPS and WiFi. Price is estimated to be similar to the Nikon D600 under $2100 (body only) and it's also offered with a 24-105mm F/4L kit lens. Personally I think Canon did a great job on the 5D Mark III to really dominate their own personal DSLR Video market, but the new 1DX will still be their flagship camera for high speed sports photographers. The 1DX sports a 61-Point High Density Auto Focus, dual compact flash media recording, Gigabit Ethernet Port, and up to 14fps burst mode. And obviously if you still plan on doing HD Video, it has all the features of the 5D Mark III and more, but beware of that $6,800 dollar price tag. Canon EOS-M Mirroless Camera

Canon has officially announces the latest Canon EOS-M Mirrorless camera. It will be available in a variety of colored bodies and uses a new EF-M lens mount. The first EF-M lens to be released will be a 22mm F/2 STM lens, but there will be an adapter to mount EF and EF-S lenses.

It's been leaked out for several days now, and although it's exciting to see Canon in this space, they are also pretty late to the party. Given that they have consistently been disabling certain features in their cameras, I can't say i'm overly excited either. I'll just be watching on the side to see what others will have to say.
