Post authorOnce you add a fluid head, then a DSLR, then a lens which is forward heavy, the center of balance will change quite a bit. It can also support larger cameras, not just DSLR's.

I'm curious why the axel of the wheel has to be so long? shorter axel = more portable, no?

I was wondering whether it would work to just convert a childs snakeboard by drilling the centre and attaching the camera mount. You may need to extend the axels.
