13Aug So it begins… Transcend 400x 32GB Compact Flash

Well these cards are in, and i’ll be working them this weekend. Hopefully everything goes off without a hitch, but thanks to all the comments i’m pretty confident it will work out for me. I’m hoping they definitely are as fast as they say they are, because it’s such a great price I just had to give it a try and grabbed 4 pieces + next day shipping for this busy weekend. One thing a friend mentioned was that he noticed the video starts much faster with these cards once the button is pressed, over the slower cards which sometimes takes a quick second before the Red Light starts going. Not sure, but i’ll find out and will probably post up more information on these 400x bad boys after the weekend on my results.

Worked flawlessly for three events this weekend. No problems so far, and they seem pretty fast.

These cards are a little slow on the 7D im testing on burst mode and it cant fire at full speed, the extreme 3 is much faster, i suppose its fast enough for video recording though. Just glad i didn’t buy the 32gig, the extreme 3 is the way to go.

Right, these are priced nicely for video for the size. For fast burst RAW photos, it’s not the fastest.

Got three 32GB cards to test them out based on your posts – using them for video and stills (no bursts) and so far: perfect. Thanks for mentioning them! I’m used to Extreme IV’s so… I’m pretty picky. But these may replace ‘em.

Nice, yeah I haven’t had any problems so far and we constantly fill and dump on these practically everyday. Been working fine without a hiccup.
