20Aug My Wireless Triggers are In!
So first thing in the larger bag is my YongNuo Wireless Trigger / Remote set. I talked about them in this article: http://cheesycam.com/never-ending-upgrades-wireless-shutter-flash-remotes/. As you know i’ve been building up a studio and these versatile triggers can wear many different hats around the equipment i’m using. First off, I can now use my Canon 580 EX II’s through the hotshoe these remotes provide, or trigger my studio strobes through a PC sync cord these offer, and if I really needed to, trigger my camera shutter. OK that’s a bit overkill to remotely trigger my camera in studio, but I really was just looking to replace some old Pocket Wizards since these will allow me to expand to more triggers at very minimal cost. For times when I don’t want to travel with my ST-E2 or Radio Popper PX’s, these will work great. I’ll do some closeup detailed photos possibly tonight or this weekend and explain why I currently use so many different trigger sets.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday. I spent about an hour testing them out with my 430ex II and LP160. It seems to work quite well. I’m happy that I will no longer have to rely on my built in 7d flash trigger, because it was producing really unreliable results indoors. For $30 (for the base transmitter and receiver) you can’t go wrong.

Do these work with the Yongnuo YN-468 Flash Speedlite E-TTL?
September 18th, 2010 at 7:51 pm
Yes they should work with most flashes as a basic trigger. No t/l communication.

Will this fire the Yongnuo 468 and a Canon 580ex II at the same time?
December 18th, 2010 at 8:28 am
@Bababooey24 – Yes it will. It’s just a generic trigger that fires a flash.

I’d like to pick these up, but it looks like an upgrade might be coming soon. http://www.hkyongnuo.com/e-detail.php?ID=282

Hey there,
Why did you get these and not the 603’s?
October 13th, 2011 at 12:23 pm
@Liam – LOL, mainly because this article was written in 2010 (over a year ago) and the 603’s didn’t exist yet…
October 13th, 2011 at 2:32 pm
That’s a very good point Emm
So, have you used the 603’s and what wireless triggers are you using now?
Cheers!

@Liam – I’m still using the 602s, Radio Poppers, or just the ST-E2 for my 580EX II’s. Whatever works for the situation.
