New P&C Komodo Skater Table Dolly + Contest to Win

Photography and Cinema LogoKomodo Dolly_02

A few months ago I posted a little contest to give this new dolly a name, so Congratulations to Kerry Garvey of http://www.kerrygarvey.ca for helping us out with that. We decided to go with the suggested name 'Komodo Dolly' [Thanks Kerry]. We'll be shipping one of the first units out to Kerry for the win.

The Pico Dolly from PhotographyandCinema.com is a very versatile unit, but some have expressed interest for a slightly larger table dolly. The new Komodo Dolly is not only a bit larger than the Pico, but it also has a unique adjusting baseplate design that allows for a more compact tracking position and added several mounting options for accessories.

Before the Komodo Dolly becomes available at PhotographyandCinema.com, they've decided to hold a little contest, and a total of 16 (yes sixteen) lucky people have a chance to win various prizes before it's released for sale. All you have to do is upload a short video review on YouTube about any of your favorite P&C gear (grip, swiss rods, pico dolly, etc.), plug the PhotographyandCinema.com website, and submit a link to your video in the comments of this article.

  • Two Second-Place Winners will receive a Pico Dolly Kit (complete with Friction Arm + Shark Clip)
  • Three Third-Place winners will receive a Pico Dolly (dolly only)

haha.. This is my first review on anything and didn't go as plan... Sorry that the video and audio sucks.. Was trying to submit this sooner but getting married so had to put my priorities.. I wasn't going to post it but figured the hell with it.. After my fiance telling to get off the computer this is what I had time for..haha..

I'm sorry to report that over 7 hours of uploading went to waste due to youtube's inability to successfully process my video. I really wanted to enter the contest, but fate has prevented me from doing so. I'm too tired to deal with this anymore. Good luck to those that participated!

What ballhead are you using in the picture above(the komodo)?
Is there one that will fit the pico dolly?

Is it necessary to own a product from P&C Hear if you are reviewing it or can it be just a review without me owning it?

@Carl - International also, so long as you can upload your video to YouTube. Thanks.

Is this just for USA residents. Are you shipping winning entires outside of us to Europe?
      Thanks

@Juan - No time limit for video reviews, but most YouTube accounts can only do up to 10 minutes I think.

@Blake - Yes, this particular contest requires submissions of Video Reviews for any of the P&C products.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a Pico Flex Dolly, though now I'm interested in seeing the difference this would bring. There doesn't seem to be a demo video showing it off though?

Also is there no other way to enter? I understand rewarding customer loyalty but you are excluding a lot of people who don't yet have a product from the small range. Also with the lack of a comparison I'm in half mind about getting the Pico Flex while I wait for more info regarding benefits, price and UK availability...

@KC Gonzalez - Best review for First place, next best reviews second place, then trickle down from there.

How will the winner be chosen? Is it judged by the the best reviews, or will it be chosen by random?

    13. the Pico Dolly is a great addition to the kit but the Komodo looks like it will have even great versatility and usefulness for more complicated shots. Looking forward to seeing it in action!
