Using the Assistant software, switch the Phantom to Naza Mode and turn on IOC. You can then use Course Lock Mode to fly the platform in one direction whilst using the yaw channel to 'pan' or track your subject.

Also, for those who are concerned at the apparent 'jerkiness' of the tilt/pan of the i1 gimbal; As per the H3-3D and P2V+ Gimbal, you can adjust the damping and speed of travel in the Assistant Software which really helps! 🙂

Hope that helps play some concerns/fears but if anyone has any questions, feel free to give me a shout - we have a pre-release i1 and have got a bunch of them on pre-order for first day delivery to our customers...

It was included in the purchase price of $3k so I wouldn't be surprised if the same were the case with the Inspire.

@Bob - I don't think it will be carry-on size, but one company revealed a new case at the live event: Looks huge:

I noticed from the dimensions that it won't fit in a pelican 1560, which is about as large as I want to travel with. This is quite a bit bigger than a phantom, which fit in a pelican with the props on with room to spare.

Sensors are sensors, and lenses are lenses. Not to mention firmware. So we don't know how it will compare to a GoPro exactly, but I wouldn't expect there to be a noticeable difference. Hopefully. The camera built into the Vision+ was a total turd but this one might actually be alright.

Aside from that, every time I look at this thing all I can think of are the sentry turrets from the game Portal. 🙂

@GearVista - I see that but that's still based on the landing gears which i'm guessing you shouldn't be doing while filming anyhow. We'll know more when it's out.
