Transcend 16GB SDHC Discount

Oddly, I looked at this item yesterday and it was out of stock. I guess they just re-listed the inventory this morning so it gives you another chance to grab a few. [Thanks Cameron] Best deal online that I could find currently, and with all these point and shoot cameras and GoPros that i've accumulated, I needed to stock up. Other sizes are also on discount from 4GB, 8GB, and 32GB, but not priced as nicely as the 16GB right now. You can find the Transcend 16GB Class 10 SDHC on sale following the link to Amazon (click here).

@Malia - 60MB/s would be a whole different class of cards. You need at least a 'Class 6' rated card for video (6MB/s write). These Transcends are 'Class 10' rated speeds (10MB/s write speed). I've been using these for years in T2i, T3i, 60D, 7D, 5D Mark II, Sony HX9V, GF2, GoPros, now S100, Fuji X10, and the list goes on and on... They've been great and solid. In fact all my other friends have now switched to these too. Even in Compact flash. Just make sure you buy from a legit place, not third party.

Is this deal over or is Amazon just doing it's sketchy custom pricing thing for me as I've bought these at higher prices before? I see $21.70.

I'm a bit annoyed as I just bought 2 32gb cards at the end of this week. Had this been around I would have bought 5 of these.

@Justin - When this happens, if you haven't tried this already, make sure you do a low level format on the card. Some new cameras have this option 60D, T3i. If you don't have the low level format option, use a computer and do a full format (not quick). This will correct speed issues with the card that could cause it to stop. This is a problem with all media cards regardless of brand or type (even compact flash).

@Justin - I've read that people have had problems with every card.
You sell 50,000 cards and 27 people are bound to have problems. I have 2 that work incredibly well and now I will have 4 total, after my order arrives.
Yes, it sucks being one of the 27/50,000 but that's why you should carry spares and always ALWAYS test your gear before going into the field.

It came from Amazon. It was even actually from Amazon.com, not from a marketplace seller. I've read on other places around the internet that other people have had problems with this card as well.

@Justin - Transcend is my main staple of cards used in every camera I have. Mostly 32GB sizes. No issues. I hear if you buy from other than Amazon or BH, you might end up with a fake one. There are tests to check if you have a real one. Where did you get yours?

Beware everybody, I bought one of these when I got my T3i and it can't seem to keep up with some of the video modes. 1920*1080 24p usually works, but I haven't had such luck with 30p or the lower quality 60p. I often just get the "The recording has stopped automatically" error. :/

Thanks Emm... hope the site doesn't become 100% photo & video deal site...but its a decent mix. Picked up 3 (max per order).

WOW! That is a deal. A dollar a gig and with free shipping!
    Just picked up two!
    T2i, S100, H4n! These come in handy!
    Thanks Emm
