Any Sony A7s owner knows there are a few things this camera needs to get the best possible quality out of it. If you want 4K footage, you simply can't record to internal media, so you'll be adapting a recorder like the Atomos Shogun. The battery life is also terrible, so a decent external power option might be the IndiProtools Power Pods (found here).
With these accessories, you'll need a solid way to mount it to the Sony A7s. There's a number of rigs i've shown in the past, and this is just another great option to consider for your A7s. The CAME-TV Sony A7s Cage is available in a variety of bundles if you need extra items such as a Mattebox, Shoulder Pad, Handles, etc.
Big big news! Varavon has completely redesigned their main website with a new storefront, and to celebrate the official launch they are offering huge price drops on their most popular items! Exciting times to grab yourself some high quality manufactured gear, but the bad news is that you got just until Nov 21st.
If you're not familiar with the Varavon Armor Cages, they are machined from a single block of metal. Amazing build quality and design. Their entire Varavon Armor Cage series for the BlackMagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC), Panasonic GH4, and Sony A7s drops from $$350 down to as low as $200 dollars (found here).

If you're just looking to mount a few accessories to your new Sony A7s (A7/A7r) camera this new SmallRig Half Cage should give you that added flexibility. It might even be a good little half cage for other small cameras as well. Retail price $62 dollars, but if you pre-order now they're offering it up for just half the price at $31 dollars (click here).
What are the most popular small cameras today? I think it's the Panasonic GH4 and Sony A7s. So here's a bit of good news if you end up with one of these, or maybe even both. The popular Fhugen Honu Cage for the GH3/GH4 camera has recently been 'modified' to work with both the GH4 and new Sony A7s (along with A7/A7r) camera bodies.
In order to make it compatible for both camera bodies, a slight change has been made in the battery cutout which allows easy access to both the GH4 and Sony A7s battery tray. The once dedicated camera mount has been 'slotted' so that the camera screw can be adjusted forward or back to accommodate the small Sony A7s.
Keep in mind that with the larger battery cutout and the slotted camera mount, the cage is more likely to be compatible with other small camera bodies on the market. The new Fhugen Honu V2.0 cage is available following the link (click here).
