14Dec Skier FF dumps Huco GearBox for Custom

(Top) Old (Bottom) New
Skier rigs dumps the old Huco gearbox design and is switching to a more custom design in their upcoming follow focus system. Their previous version had a few cons as pointed out in this video review by OliviaTech (here). The old design lacked a movable marking indicator, reversible gear, and the gear sat pretty low. This could cause problems when trying to mate it to shorter lenses. The new version seen below will have a bit more height, reversible gear, and adjustable marking indicator.
Other interesting new items Skier has in it’s product line is a single arm Micro Crane (jib) and a DSLR Slider, which i’m still trying to find more information about.

You can find more information about Skier at http://www.luck-in.com, and the Nomad Vision shop, distributes to the whole of Europe can be found at http://shop.nomadvision.co.uk/
You can also find some of their products via eBay (click here).
