14Jul Konova K-Slider and GoPro
Using the GoPro in odd ways. DIY suction mount to the hood of a car, on a monopod as a Golf Putter, and did you know it fits perfectly inside a Golf Hole? Playing with the Konova Camera Slider out on the course. Just total randomness and plain fun.

Cool beans. I totally missed that POV shot from the club’s POV hitting the ball. I saw the GoPro mounted on the club at the end and then I went back to view it again. Very smart. But GoPro at the end of club are for wusses, I say put the mkII with some L glass on it and let it rip, ar, ar, ar, ar….. (well, your mkII not mine at any rate).

@apostolos – The putter is the GoPro and the Long Driver when Tee’ing off would be the 5D Mark II. Umm..yeah, I don’t think i’m ready for that shot.

Emm,
Do you have any suggestions for how to take care of micro-bumps? The cause is a couple of shallow knicks that recently resulted from gear bumping against each other. I asked the seller, but didn’t get a comprehensive response back!

Does the carrage on the konova slider have any play in it?

@Matt – It does not. You can also adjust the slider, it comes with a set of tools and instructions to adjust the bearings.

Emm, I’ve seen that you’ve reviewed a number of different tripods, but each was for a different purpose (jib, slider, etc.). If you were going to get one tripod to best support the Konova slider center mounted and the 4 ft. jib, which setup would you go with?
Thanks!

@Fitz – If you were to support only up to a 4ft. Jib and Slider, the one in this article works http://cheesycam.com/slider-tips-and-mounting-solutions/
