Stopped by the Shape booth over at #NAB2013 to check out some of their new products. Kirk Neff shows off a very compact rig designed for DSLR video with a half cage, top handle, two front handles, and adjustable shoulder stock (chest pad).
Shape was also introducing a basic top handle for the BMCC along with a new rail mounted friction based EVF bracket that can be adjusted very quickly to position your EVF Loupe (many will prefer this over friction arms). I like to use an 11" friction arm for a quick top handle. People ask me what it is all the time and are surprised they never thought to use it like that, lol.

I like that specialized articulating arm he uses for the EVF. Any idea where I can get that as a standalone piece else where? Doesn't seem like they sell those individually.

Post author@Tom @Marcel - Pricey, but Shape also makes simple top handles

You're right Tom. I wonder if you can mod the Genustech tophandle for C300/C500 to fit on a DSLR. http://shop.genustech.tv/collections/canon-c100-c300-c500-accessories/products/c300-handle

Why has no one made a contoured top handle for DSLRs...
I want something like that.
