21Oct Carry Speed MagFilter Threaded Adapters Available
Here’s a video I did about a month ago to introduce the new Magfilter threaded adapters for high end compact point and shoot cameras. These filters are now available to use any brand Polarizer or ND filter on cameras like the new Sony RX100. Adapters are available to fit 52mm, 55mm, and 58mm threaded filters of your choice. Check it out the Carry Speed website (click here).

Hey Em,
do you know when he’s gonna come out with the vari-ND filter for the rx100? He had said sometime around now. Is it getting pushed back some more because of the monopod they’ve been working on?
that looks cool as well.
Give a heads up if you get a heads up.
thx

@Peter – Many had a preference with filter glass, so with the new threaded adapters, you can use your own variable ND filter. Other filters will follow after, but no ETA.

So you buy the base and the adapter, correct?

@Mojo – You buy the adapter. To install you stick a thin metal ring (this is not magnetic) to the front of your camera lens. The adapter has magnets built in and you can thread a filter to it.

Thanks for the response, so just so I am clear… The thin metal ring comes with the adapter?

@Mojo43 – Yes it does, it shows in the video at about 2:00.

I found the MagFilter CPL Filter comes in 2 sizes (36mm and 42mm) but the adapter doesn’t. So this adapter can only fit on 42mm ring?

Emm,
I’m in the market for a quality point and shoot. Do you have a favorite?
I’m looking for a small dslr in my pocket. Great video etc. rx100 or nex series? What’s the latest?
Thanks as always.
