I would hold off. Bigvalue is not an authorized canon re-seller. They are offering some sort of in house warranty.
I would avoid this deal.

@N Smith – Product already sold out, late comment. Besides, they advertise BRAND NEW – CANON USA WARRANTY (twice listed). These deals have come around a few times.

It certainly was a good deal, but keep in mind that these $2500-2700 are coming around every few weeks now. And this guy had a stock of 500. So, if indeed it had Canon USA warranty as advertised, you can bet the seller was not losing money at this price. I’m convinced that Canon is letting the price of the MKiii unofficially and quietly slip down to that level, down to the MKii level, because the MKiii never sold that well. I’m guessing there will be more of those deals as we’re headed towards Christmas and the official price might actually slip to that level in early 2013.
