26Dec Another DSLR Micro Shooter Stabilizer

At first glance, I thought ‘wow, that’s a pretty good price for a Redrock Running Man Nano Rig‘. Turns out it’s not an RR Rig, but another micro shooter style stabilizer. It’s not exactly the same design, but you can see some resemblance to the RR Nano rig (found here).
While the RR i’m sure is heavily built around metal, metal, and more metal, this micro rig will probably yield much more plastic. Definitely not as cheap as the Magic DSLR Shooter Rig, but they try to make up for it by throwing in a custom padded Pelican case. If blue is your thing, it’s another option for lightweight shooting and traveling found (here).

Odd that it comes in a pelican case, that adds a lot of bulk when trying to pack light. Looks alright though. I’m modding my Polaroid one currently to see how I like the mini style.

I wish Gini offered a custom case.

Yeah, the case is weird… Seems like it just adds bulk/setup time.

Without that case it probably costs as much as or less than the polaroid stabiliser…I am sure someone stateside will pick it up in a couple months and offer it for a steal…

That RR style shoulder/chest pad is the most stable design for DSLR video shooting. I use it on my Zacuto cage for run and gun with great results. If the machining is decent on this rig, it’s a great deal.
